On March 31 st the Saudi government resumed the Tawaaf partially in Haram.

The section of Mutaaf has been granted permission to begin the ritual again whilst only a small gathering of people has been permitted to perform it taking precautionary measures.

Following the reopening of practicing and performing the Tawaaf, a security structure has been created around the Holy Kaaba, barring visitors from entering or pilgrims from touching the Kaaba itself.

The Tawaaf had come to a halt on the 21 st of March following the increasing danger of the coronavirus scare; however, today the government has allowed it with restrictions in place to allow the utmost safety measures are taken.

Earlier, all prayers had been banned in the Kaaba as the threat to health was too much of a risk but even with the reopening of the ritual, there are measures in place to ensure protocol will be followed. Currently the Kingdom has a total of 1563 cases with 10 lives having being claimed.
