In breaking news today, Pari Gul Tareen has been elected as Balochistan's first Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP)!

Meet the first woman in Balochistan's history to be appointed as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). Pari Gul Tareen hails from Balochistan's Pishin area, being the first woman to join the Police Service of Pakistan after coming out successful from her CSS Examinations.

Passing the exam back in 2017, Miss Tareen has been promoted to the ASP position in the Quetta Cantt Department, where she has made history for women across the country. In a previous interview with Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Pari Gul dedicated her achievements to her husband, and his support. Also speaking about how wearing the uniform inspired her to serve the country.

Pari Gul Tareen has given women hope, to not only become part of the law, but in encouraging them to pursue their dreams, making their country proud with their fortitude and service. As the times change so do the social dynamics, and we are happy to see more women in powerful positions, representing the safety of the citizens.
