Dozens have visited, but who did it best?

With enough negative and positive said about foreign bloggers in Pakistan, there is no denying their influence. Many of them have moved us to rediscover our own neighborhoods, cities and regions. But of course, we love some of them more than others. There are our favorites:

Migrationology

With food being his primary focus, American, Mark Weins of Migrationology is our top choice. There is an unmistakable joy and curiosity about him that is infectious. While he does cover places and their history to some extent, his knowledge of food and food cultures is extensive. He also owns a restaurant in Bangkok - Phed Mark. The most endearing part about him is possibly the fact that he travels everywhere with his wife and young child. Here he is with his 16 hour food tour of Lahore.

Food Ranger

Canadian blogger, James Trevor is just always smiling. His attempts at speaking in the local languages is certainly entertaining and endearing. We love his sense of wonder as every new food discovery. His choice of kurtas for his Pakistani adventures is pretty on point too. Here he is setting off our cravings for Ramzan.

Chopsticks Travel

The lesser known Canadian husband-and-wife duo have quite the extensive track record. While their in depth knowledge of local cultures and food does not match that of Mark Weins or Trevor James, they are wonderfully curious. They also don’t ‘love’ everything they need - which we appreciate! They get into the nooks and crannies of a city. We are inspired to head off to Peshawar after watching this episode.
