Mujhe Pyaar Hua Tha has been creating waves amongst drama buffs since its first episode was aired, 26 epsiodes down, the drama has taken an unexpected dark turn and we’re loving this sudden twist in the story, making the show all the more interesting. Audiences had finally gotten the chance to enjoy Saad (Wahaj Ali) and Maheer’s (Hania Amir) blissful romance but the happiness was short-lived. Areeb (Zaviyar Nauman) has now decided to take revenge from Maheer as he believes she has cheated him by choosing Saad - her husband over him, her ex fiancé. While he uses whatever powers he has, Maheer stands her ground and tells off Areeb when he continuously calls her. Areeb is now in his ‘Muhabbat mai or Jung mai sub jaaiz hai’ era where he believes this is war and he can cross any limits to win the war. From sending hooligans after Saad’s sister Neelo to deliberately crashing into Saad’s car, Areeb is going all out to prove his point and has wowed to not leave Maheer alone without a fight, however, his acts are not only causing Maheer pain but are also making her hate Areeb.
Areeb’s actions are having an adverse effect on Maheer, since the men have threatened Neelo, Saad’s mother is no longer willing to tolerate Maheer in their home. She clearly asks Saad to divorce her right away and let her go as she has only caused problems for them. However, Saad is the knight in shining armour that every girl wishes to have in her life. He takes a stand for her and refuses to divorce her against all odds. Saad is adamant to protect Maheer and reaches Areeb’s home to talk some sense into him.
To say that the Wahaj Ali craze is increasing day by day would certainly be justified as it is his remarkable performance that is carrying the weight of the entire drama. From dialogue delivery to his on-point expressions and perfect body language, it’s the boy-next-door vibe that audiences are absolutely loving.
