It’s one thing when a designer never fails to impress, another when they keep producing astoundingly creative collections one after another.
On day 1 of Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week 2015, Sania Maskatiya showcased her collection titled “Khayat – The Tailor”, which pays tribute to the art of tailoring in a exuberant fashion.
What to expect from this collection?
The silhouettes were kept simple, including crop tops, jackets, capris, full-length flares, one shouldered dresses and jumpsuits. Khayat collection displayed a vivid array of neon color splashes and geometric designs, along with traditional tailoring related motifs such as tape measure, rolls of thread, buttons, needles and ribbons on luxe silk and denim fabrics, giving each ensemble a story of it’s own.
“Our collection is steeped in the belief that much has been spoken of the craft, but not enough has been told of the tools. Therefore, with Khayat – The Tailor, we endeavor to speak boldly on the art of process and the thrill of creating.” – said Sania Maskatiya regarding her collection.
