Living in a society where dating is a taboo and going out on a date is considered “Haraam”, we asked a few women in their twenties about what is that one ultimate deal breaker for going out / dating or marrying a guy per se.

11 women weighed in on that one thing that would totally put them off and would make them sprint in the opposite direction. Here’s what we learned:

“If he isn’t trustworthy, never be with him.” – Zainab, 24

“Dishonesty. I can’t stand it. Lies and dishonesty in a man, absolutely hate it. Be honest even if you are sleeping with other women and you might be forgiven, but lying about it will never get you far.” – Aesha, 26

“When he stops respecting me. I mean if he abuses me (verbally and otherwise) or my family.” – Maheen, 23.

“Zero hygiene and poor sense of dressing, because chances are if you aren’t good at those two you are a sloppy person on the whole and nobody wants that.” – Sadaf, 27

“Hypocrisy. When he admires liberal women and wants the opposite from you.” – Sheeba, 23

“If he cheats on me, it’s over.” – Arshi, 29

“I can never even consider someone who smells bad. Insecurities are another big no-no. If he keeps bragging about his ex girlfriends and is still hung up in the past, he should just stay there. – Nisha, 24

“He’s short.” – Hira, 25

“If he wears anything that shines.” – Kiran, 23

“I’d never want to be with someone who isn’t open minded to ideas since after all any relationship is a two way road. Suppression and constantly overlooking your partner’s opinions is unfair and ultimately the main reason why most unions fail.” – Natasah, 20

“The ultimate deal breaker in a relationship is unfounded over possessiveness and baseless distrust.” – Hayaa, 25

So there you have it boys, you know now what to stay away from and what to control when you’re in the proximity of the next possible candidate.
