Islamabad Eat is rolling into Islamabad on November 10-12th, with small bites and crunchy mouthfuls of premium delicacies at the Jinnah Convention Centre. As always, the EAT festival is shaping up to be a full-on foodie love affair, luring in visitors with endless skewers, dumplings, canapes and drinks.

Now in its fifth year running this annual event by CKO has become the largest food festival in the country. Tickets for Islamabad Eat are available here.

Gearing up for a weekend of culinary abandon? Make sure these 5  yummy (and healthy) pit stops are on your agenda.

1. Suki Sushi

Food festivals don’t have to be about deep fried cheese! Every sushi lover knows that the best thing about freshly made sushi is that it can be a light appetizer (when had in small quantities) or a filling meal (when you have your fill) making it the perfect festival starter. Suki Sushi offers authentic, flavorsome Japanese cuisine to munch on while you survey the stalls, kiosks and live music.

2. Wild Thyme

Run by a passionate author, food lover and nutritionist Wild Thyme is a hidden gem nestled in Islamabad’s E-7 sector. The menu is rich in fresh fruits and nuts from Hunza Valley like mulberries, apricots and walnuts. We are especially looking forward to their artisanal, handmade chocolates!

3. JESSIES

Where do celebrities chow down on the best burgers in town? At musician Yasir Jaswal’s  burger joint, of course! If you crave a good quality, beautiful piece of meat then Jessie’s well cut sirloin or a juicy flame grilled cheese burger just might satiate those hunger pangs.

Spotted at Jessies: Momina and Mahira

4. LOAFOLOGY

Is there anything more comforting than a freshly baked loaf of bread straight out of the oven? This bakery and cafe, specialising in European breads and cakes, has us convinced that simple hearty fare is the best food. Whether it is a thick slices of rye or their signature french toast – Loafology offers a wide selection of rustic, home made options for the discerning palette.

5. BUFF BAKES

Delightful but not so decadent, your trainer will approve of the high protein, low carb and zero sugar desserts made by Buff Bakes. After scarfing down the rest of the fare at the festival, the famous ‘mug cakes’ made of the finest ingredients will curb your sweet tooth while being easy on your diet.
