Being an accessory hoarder, I’m always on the lookout for avant-garde statement pieces for my extensive collection. For me, no outfit or look is complete without jewellery, and thankfully I have now come across a number of local jewellery brands dedicated to bring out original designs. From handmade textile jewellery by local craftswomen to hand crafted luxe pieces in silver and gold, here are a few local brands that I have been obsessing over recently.

Haya Lutfullah is an up and coming jewellery designer, whose innovative gold and silver pieces stand apart with their statement structures and simplicity. I personally am a fan of her experimental pieces, but of course she also has a variety for those who like to keep it simple and classy.

ZU Designs feature contemporary coiled jewellery, made by rural women artisans of Pakistan. Not only do their pieces have a a fun ethnic feel, but they are also giving exposure to talented local artisans. Double points for that!

The Art Geek masters in quirky hand painted pieces, that can be customized according to your liking. Though they have a limited collection, the jewellery stands apart with its colours and unique aesthetic.
