From the year 1947, the territory of Kashmir has been disputed and over the past week, a new issue began when Indian troops were deployed into the Jammu Kashmir region for protection due to an Indian pilgrimage that was supposed to happen.
As of yesterday, tourists and pilgrims were asked to evacuate, and further troops from India were sent in, placing three of Jammu and Kashmir’s most prominent politicians Mehbooba Mufti, Omar Abdullah and Sajad Lone under house arrest late last night amid a massive security-built up in the state. This was followed by the revocation of Article 370 putting all of Kashmir in a lockdown, announced curfew and suspended Internet and phone services. This is not only a breach with UN, it is genocide, placing millions of Kashmiris in harms way.
Omar Abdullah further tweeted about it:
I believe I’m being placed under house arrest from midnight tonight & the process has already started for other mainstream leaders. No way of knowing if this is true but if it is then I’ll see all of you on the other side of whatever is in store. Allah save us ??

Remember, Revocation of Article 370 does not only isolate the people of Kashmir but the entire Muslim community of India.
