Prime Minister Imran Khan's Ehsaas Program has broken records as the PM's live appearance inspired people to donate.

On Thursday, 23rd April, a telethon was held at the Prime Minister house on behalf of Imran Khan’s EHSAAS Foundation to collect funds for the less privileged segment of society and those greatly affected.

The marathon broadcast was hosted by Senator Faisal Javed and had the top journalists of Pakistan attending, including Kashif Abbasi, Mohammad Malick, Sami Ibrahim, Nadeem Malik and Mansoor Ali Khan. The Prime Minister spoke about how the entire nation had to fight the coronavirus together, as a single unit.

“No single government can battle the pandemic. The entire nation needs to join hands to fight this virus, keeping in mind the times that are ahead.”

The PM advised precaution and safety measures, addressing the rapid spreading rate, and praised the Ehsaas Cash Emergency Program, stating that the most cash that has been distributed has been in Sindh, despite the federal government having less influence in the province.

By the end of the telecast it was revealed that the Ehsaas Foundation has collected Rs. 550 million which will go directly to help fight off the fatal disease and to those who are in dire need; an initiative that will save lives.
