Instagram has seen a few trends in its time, 'Women Supporting Women' is one encouraging the spread of positivity!

Challenge accepted! The trend on Instagram started in Hollywood, 'Women Supporting Women' has celebrities posting black and white images of themselves along with tagging friends to accept the challenge.

The challenge involves women encouraging, supporting and uplifting other women online, to spark off a healthier and happier environment on social media. Promoting other women is a much appreciated change we see online these days, with cyber-bullying, bashing and judgement prevalent across the internet.

The goal of the challenge is to promote female empowerment and "girl power" to fellow women, friends or colleagues via our social media platform. From Hollywood to Bollywood, the challenge has reached Lollywood as well, with celebrities such as Anoushey Ashraf and model Fahmeen Ansari accepting it as well as Shaniera Akram, penning a sweet, thoughtful and intelligent note to her young daughter.

The challenge is set to uplift women and welcome the concept of women treating other women well as well as promoting the women in our lives to be their best self. We can appreciate and encourage such trends on our feed which promote healthy standards and a progressive mindset!
