With 908 new infections in the country, the nationwide cases have reached 331,108, with 16 more virus-related deaths pushing the tally to 6,775 in total.
The rise of COVID-19 has sparked news of a potential second wave as people have not been following SOPs and the opening of businesses, malls and marriage halls have caused the tally to go up, as Minister for Planning and Reforms, Asad Umar, has condemned the lack of SOPs being followed, attributing the spread of cases to the opening of the halls and restaurants.
Curfews have now been implemented and masks have been made mandatory in public and a 10pm close off of restaurants and marriage halls has been instructed. We wait to see more updates regarding Pakistan's coronavirus situation, which has been handled well in the past.
