With the rise of Covid-19 cases in the country, a new strain of the virus has been discovered, according to leading pulmonologist, Dr. Shazli Manzoor. This new strain is undetected in the Covid-19 test and will turn out to be more lethal than the first wave.
Self isolation, minimal physical interaction and following all standard operating procedures (SOPs) is the only way to prevent the spread of the disease. There have been a total of 2,050 new cases in the last 24 hours taking the total up to 361,000 and rising.
Keeping in view the rise, the Balochistan government has decided to announce winter holidays in educational institutes from December 1st, 2020. While educational institutes in Punjab remain open, the final decision for early winter vacations to be made by the Ministry of Education on November 23rd, 2020.
