Winter has hit the metropolis early this year, with the temperature dropping to 16°C after a bout of rainfall experienced last night.
Citizens seem to be wary of the rain as its predecessor has caused quite the havoc in its wake, but the temperatures seem to be dropping with the chilly winds. The Meteorological Department (MET) has predicted this December to be significantly colder than the previous winter, with expected rainfall.
For the next 24 to 48 hours, the weather is likely to remain cloudy with a chilly breeze. With the previous Western System ending in the country, a new one is arriving in the first week of December, with strong winds and predicted rainfall. Areas which experienced the 'heavy drizzle' last night included Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, DHA, Rashid Minhas Road, Shahra-e-Faisal, Clifton and Malir.
Once again due to the rainfall which lasted through the late hours of the night, water has accumulated throughout the city, albeit not nearly as much as the levels calculated during the monsoon.
