With 3,795 cases being recorded in the last 24 hours, Pakistan's increasing number of positive coronavirus cases calls for concern as the positivity rate has escalated to an alarming 9.7% with 22,271 being tallied for the week.
The second wave of COVID-19 is allegedly more deadly than its predecessor, with 37 new deaths bringing the toll to 8,398 currently. With many patients in critical care, hospitals are filling up once again, with 40,000 cases being conducted daily.
It has also been revealed that urban areas such as Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Peshawar were contributing to 70% of coronavirus cases, with the Federal Government focusing on implementing strict SOPs to help keep the situation under control, as the nation cannot handle another lockdown.
