Mirza Gohar Rasheed's recent tweets have gotten a lot of attention and here's why!

Mirza Gohar Rasheed is known for his acclaimed performances in projects such as Mann Mayal, Rangreza, Raaz-e-Ulfat and Bilal Lashari's upcoming blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, to name a few. Most recently, the artist has come into the spotlight for his insightful comments on the human condition and mental health.

Gohar Rasheed took to Twitter on Friday to pen a message to fans and friends, stating how the current ongoing obsession with having a timeline to follow and using social media as a form of self-validation has led to society depicting self-centred traits, becoming more insecure and competitive instead of focusing on their own journey in life.

'Our generation's obsession with having established careers before 30 and getting followers on social media platforms has led to everyone being hyper-competitive, opportunistic, self-centered and deeply insecure.'

The Seedlings actor when on to further emphasise that surface level happiness that is dependent on the number of followers one has is futile and cannot allow an individual to be truly content. Rather, these superficial matters only lead to insecurity and self-doubt, changing the mindset people retain.

Gohar also spoke about taking a step back and relaxing, not putting an unrealistic amount of pressure on oneself to have their life together at an expected time. Understanding that life cannot be 'pre-planned', the actor has advised people to 'relax a bit' and let life happen without being consumed by vapid thoughts, inculcating the idea of how such things impact a person's mental health and furthermore, society's expectations.

Using his position as a celebrity, the actor has addressed an important issue, offering an insightful perspective on the habits of today's generation.
