The travel junkie’s bucket list

I love to travel and discover new places here are a few places that are on my official travel junkie’s bucket list.

The sea of stars on Vadhoo island is definitely a must see in your life. These flowing blue waved on a remote Maldives island are caused by phytoplankton which is marine life with glow in the dark characteristics. So you can see the stars in the sea here literally.

Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia are the world’s highest salt water flats. This place literally transforms into a giant mirror of the sky when it rains so if you have it within you to be able to absorb that kind of unearthly beauty this is the place to go.

The regular tour is conducted in 4×4 vehicles (usually Toyota Land Cruisers) with 6 or 7 people, with the driver often times cooking. Most 3 and 4 day tours have the same itinerary for the first two and a half days, a day on the salt plains, then heading south to the southwest corner of Bolivia, and then splitting off from there. The specific sites that are seen can be dependent on the tour, but group input can define which sites are visited and how much time will be spent at each.

Feeling blue has a new meaning at The Crystal Cave, which emerged as a result of a glacier meeting the Icelandic coastline. The cave’s ice dates back centuries and its weight has pressed out all remnant air. Access is via a 22-foot entrance at the water’s edge, experience you are unlikely to forget. Glacier Tours is the travel company to go with as this is a glacial tour and needs experienced people to be with you. Tours are just forty minutes inside so have your camera ready and charged!
