Fortunately, in small towns neighbors know each other so he gets by with a little help from a cart driver. Ever been given the side-eye for adding ketchup to a gourmet meal? We feel you. But if Chef Saadat does it (in the middle of the forest, no less) so can the rest of us. That caffeine high, though. Sometimes the poorest men are the richest in spirit. Our hosts experience this again and again on their journey from Season One when an elderly hat maker in Chitral on the foot of Tirich Mir, the highest peak of the Hindu Kush refuses to charge him as he is a ‘mehman’ (guest) to the latest season where volunteer tour guides show the duo their city.
