FIFA trophy comes to CokeFest
The coveted FIFA trophy comes to Pakistan as part of a fifty-one country tour offering football fans to see the prize up close.
Calling all football fans! We may not be winning FIFA any time soon but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy that shiny, solid gold trophy.
The prize is coming to Lahore as part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour by Coca Cola which kicked off in September 2017 in Russia and will see the trophy traveling approximately 152,000km in nine months before eventually returning to Russia.Twenty four destinations have been added to the annual tour including Pakistan.
The world cup trophy is expected to arrive in Lahore on February 3, It will stay in Lahore for a day before departing for Kazakhstan.
The Coke tour offers fans across the world an opportunity to share in the glory of the tournament the follow. Fans from Uganda to Mongolia participate in the tour united by their shared love for sportsmanship, competition and a chance to call a foul.
The trophy can be viewed by the public at the grand Coke Fest which will be held February 2nd to 3rd at the Lake City Golf and Country Club. The festival is fun-filled event where Lahoris can indulge their taste buds at various food stalls, enjoy live music and get a glimpse of the legendary trophy!
Last year’s CokeFest was a huge success with over 30,000 people attending over a period of 3 days, fed by over 70 restaurants and home-based cookeries. The event was further augmented by artists and bands that rocked the stage throughout the day, with memorable performances by Nabeel Shaukat, Farhad Humayun, Amanat Ali, Asim Azhar, Symth, Overload and the Leo Twins.

The tour is not Pakistan’s only connection to FIFA. Thousands of footballs made in Sialkot will be exported to be used in the official games. The city is famous all over the world for producing the finest quality of sport goods.
