What A Wonderful World, Louis Armstrong
The world can never forget the song ‘What A Wonderful World‘ sung by Louis Armstrong who was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. Not just a singer, he was an occasional actor who was one of the most influential figures in jazz whose career spanned five decades, from the 1920s to the 1960s, and different eras in the history of jazz. In 2017, he was inducted into the Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame.
Known as “Satchmo,” he appeared in many films and is best known for his renditions of It’s a Wonderful World and Hello, Dolly. His artistry & personality allowed him access to the upper ranks (or high society) of American society, which was then highly restricted for black men.
