Ramadan Activities: Ways To Stay Busy Without Food Involved!

That time of year is back, where we surrender to a slower way of life (which we already got a headstart on with Lockdown), and praise the Lord more than usual while fasting.

Now because we are fasting, a lot of people will take a step back on the baking and cooking mid day so how can you kill time? Here's how!

Pray & read the Holy Quran:

This is the month the Holy Quran was revealed to our Holy Prophet (SAW), and it has endless benefits of knowledge and is sawaab to finish it in this holy month. Saying your prayers goes without saying, of course.

Charity (Zakaat):

We are a nation that is charitable by nature - mainly because of our religion and secondly because of the poverty that surrounds us endlessly. Helping the less fortunate by sending them food or clothes is highly recommended, especially in current times of Covid-19 where even charity is recommended to be done via distance.

Fix your work schedule:

God didn't tell us to put work aside. All life must commence as it while we fast so have your professional affairs in order. Don't stress too much, and do some breathing exercises if you feel overwhelmed! Most of all, manage your time well. It's not all about work in life anyway!

Read:

Get back to reading that book you left halfway. Why not discipline your mind to try focus on a piece of work for even an hour?

Paint:

Yes, we know, not everyone has an art bone in their body. Art is subjective - pick up that paintbrush and give it a whirl. If not, try our charcoal, pastels or even clay for sculpting!

Work out:

Now don't go crazy here, especially if you are fasting. Work out jst to release endorphins and end the day with a good feeling. You could also opt to do this after you break your fast.
