Allowing More Positive Energy Into Your Living Space
We all want to be happy and have positive vibes within us and in our surroundings but what we don’t accept sometimes is that we need to work to get it. There are several things you can do in order to bring a more positive vibe into your daily life, for example positive affirmations, doing things that you love, self care and so on.
These are all things that you can do with yourself for yourself but what you can also do is make your living space more homely, comfortable and positive. There are many things that your mood depends on, material things can also affect your mood in positive and negative ways. Here are some ways you can do that can (hopefully) bring more positivity into your life:
1. Stick motivational affirmations posts around your room:
These posts can have written anything you’d like to introduce into your life, they can range from words and quotes such as Be Calm, Be Resilient, Love Yourself, Look Within, Stay in the Present, Mindfulness and so on. Make your space feel as though it is yours.
2. Let more natural light into the room:
One of the easiest and simplest things one can do is to let more natural light into the room. Natural light is known to boost motivation, bring feelings of calm and peace.
3. Showcase artwork that you enjoy looking at:
While being in your space, you consciously and unconsciously look at everything in the room and if it is something you may not like or enjoy, it can drastically affect your mood. In simple words, try making it more homely and more YOU.
4. Add Color:
Having a room that is just white and just grey can also dull down your mood. Whether it's through painting the walls with whatever color you want or getting a different wall paper put it, try it out! Colors that you love can make you feel warm on the inside and that's what we want!
5. Bring in an indoor plant:
Whether you are a plant person or not, research shows that having a plant can boost your mood, motivation, productivity, they help you become more creative by just being there. Not to mention indoor plants can clean the air indoors by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity and producing oxygen. Plus plants grow better if you talk to them, you can name your plants and have conversations everyday!
We hope this list comes in handy, you can also go slowly by doing only one thing at a time. Making your space comfortable for yourself shows that you care about your mental and physical health and also music really helps with one's mood so don't hesitate to put on a little something and get jiggy!
