Pakistan to Launch Its Own Version of 'WhatsApp' by June

Pakistan has wanted to dispatch its own WhatsApp-like informing application, Smart Office, by June 2021 which will incorporate all advanced correspondence including reporting to speed up work on settling Personal Data Protection Bill.

After the new security concerns raised by worldwide clients and masses in Pakistan over WhatsApp's new protection strategy, Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) and Telecom Amin-ul-Haque said that the 'Brilliant Office' application will be dispatched by the Pakistani government by June 2021.

In an assertion gave by the IT service, Haque educated that the bureaucratic bureau has given requests to build up a WhatsApp-like application for government representatives, adding that it was currently important to facilitate work on the Personal Data Protection Bill.

He kept up that the public authority was completely mindful of worries of WhatsApp clients over its strategy update, saying that protection privileges of the clients couldn't be disregarded. He additionally communicated genuine worries over WhatsApp's transition to begin erasing clients not tolerating its strategy update.

“WhatsApp should have taken opinion from users before updating its policy…no company is allowed to impose its decisions to its users through constraints,” he stated.

“The policy should be the same for global users. The new policy will not be effective in some countries including Europe, Brazil and the United States.”
