Farhad Humayun: Remembered Through His Music
Early this morning, the Facebook page for Farhad Humayun & Overload posted the following:
The magnificent Farhad Humayun & Overload left us for the stars this morning. Stoic in the face of challenges, uncompromising in his values, generous to a fault, witty as hell! Fadi was far too ahead of his time, both in spirit and art. He would want us to celebrate his life, so we request his family, friends and fans to honour him and say a prayer for him today. We can almost hear him say these words by David Bowie: “I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring”.Godspeed our gentle giant and thank you for creating a Riot!
Farhad Humayun was one of the truest rock stars of our time. There was a visceral quality to his art, and a refined masculinity that made him instantly appealing to both men and women. While this instrument of choice was the drum, he was also adept at the bass guitar and eventually took up vocals too.
No matter what the instrument was, the star was always Farhad. He could command the stage like no other performer.
We listed some our favorite songs featuring Farhad:
Tum Hans Diye

Neray Aah

Pichal Pairee
