7 Things That Should Be On Your Halloween Shopping List
Whether you’re going to spend the night in bed with a Tim Burton movie marathon, going out to a costume party or even dancing in the moonlight with your fellow witches -- there are some things that you just need to complete the Halloween mood! Here’s our shopping list for the 8 things not to miss out on!
Chocolate and candy!
No matter how old you get, chocolate and sweets never get old. Sure you might swap out the bars of pure sugar for some smooth, rich dark chocolate but nonetheless -- we all love to serve our sweet tooth. Keep up with the halloween tradition of consuming a tonne of sweet stuff throughout the night, possibly when enjoying a horror movie with friends!
A few decorations
Here us out, Halloween decor should be an all year around thing. Whether you have a penchant for skeletons, cauldrons or creepy (albeit cute) spider wall hangings, many grocery and party stores around the country are currently stocked with all kinds of spooky decorations! Or for a fun activity, you can use materials around your house to make your own decorations. Involve the kids in this one!
A costume
You don’t need to be attending a huge party in order to have a costume! With last year spent entirely in a Covid lockdown, my small group of friends and I still got together to dress up and have a fun time. Live fully, dress up even if it’s just you and the family at home.
These halloween-y earrings
These earrings by a local crotchet artist are part of a limited edition spooky season series! Aren’t they the most adorable? Get your own before they run out!
A Pumpkin!
A carving pumpkin is not the easiest to find in Pakistan but a variety of stores are still offering brightly coloured orange ones this time of year! If you’re planning on this, remember to use what you can for a yummy pumpkin soup or pie and turn the remaining Jack-o-lantern into compost for your garden after, so nothing is going to waste.
A new black clothing piece
It’s fall, Halloween and Scorpio season all at the same time! And these are just scapegoats, but most of the time we need no motivation at all to introduce yet another black item into our wardrobe. Not only do these items come in hand in putting together many Halloween costumes, but unlike most things -- can become a staple part of your wardrobe after.
Candles
Again, Halloween is just an excuse. It’s almost always the right time to buy candles. Just check out these themed ones pictured above by a local small run business! We just need a few of these to build up that atmosphere.
