Whilst we have many Pakistanis doing amazing work in their respective fields, these 3 youngsters deserve a special mention for their achievements in the face of unique career choices and difficult circumstances. Inspiring individuals indeed!

Karateka Nargis

19 year old Nargis became Pakistan’s first female karate player to win a medal at the Asian Games 2018. Nargis attributed all her success to her father, her coaches and her hard work. It’s truly heartwarming to see young, courageous girls from Pakistan receiving the support to pursue their dreams.

 Ahmad Nawaz

A survivor of the dreadful APS attack of 2014, 17 year old Ahmad just undertook his GCSE exams and achieved an amazing result of 6A*s and 2As. He was thrilled to announce this on his twitter account and received much deserved encouragement and applaud from many, including Malala Yousufzai and Major General Asif Ghafoor, DG ISPR. Ahmad lost his brother in the APS attack and also suffered injuries himself, but his resilience is exemplary.

Anita Nisar

21 year old Anita is Pakistan’s first Mixed Martial Arts athlete who won 2 gold medals at the Pakistan Grappling Challenge (PGC). Hailing from Hunza, she made her international debut at the One Warrior Series in Singapore last month. Setting foot in a field that is untouched by Pakistani women is truly commendable and makes her an inspirational individual.
