The rules for using edition.pk — written as plainly as we could.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using edition.pk (the “Site”), operated by Edition Pakistan (“Edition”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Use of the Site
You may browse, read and share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- copy, republish or redistribute our articles, photographs or video without written permission;
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable or impair it;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers or related systems;
- scrape, harvest or collect content or data from the Site using automated means.
3. Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, photographs, illustrations, video, logos, the Edition name and design — is owned by or licensed to Edition and protected by copyright and trademark law. Short quotations with a clear credit and a link back to the original article are welcome. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
4. User submissions
When you send us comments, pitches, photographs or other material, you confirm that you own it or have permission to share it, and you grant Edition a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit and adapt it across our platforms. We may moderate, edit or remove submissions at our discretion.
5. Editorial content & accuracy
Our content is published for general information and entertainment. While we work hard to ensure accuracy, we make no guarantee that all information is complete or current. Opinions expressed by contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Edition. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please contact us and we will review it promptly.
6. Advertising & sponsored content
The Site may display advertising and partner content. Sponsored or branded content is clearly labelled. Edition does not endorse, and is not responsible for, the products or services of advertisers.
7. Third-party links
Articles may link to external websites and social platforms. These are provided for convenience only; we do not control and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
8. Competitions & giveaways
Giveaways run by Edition are subject to their own rules, published with each competition. Where those rules conflict with these Terms, the competition rules apply.
9. Privacy
We respect your privacy. Information you provide through our contact forms or newsletter sign-ups is used only to respond to you and deliver the services you request, and is never sold to third parties. The Site uses cookies to understand how readers use it and to improve your experience.
10. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Edition is not liable for any direct, indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content on it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, and continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Karachi.
