Eid ul Azha is all about sacrifice, sharing and preparing delicious and delectable food. It begins with the barbecue sessions, heavy meaty stews, kebabs, meat and rice dishes, organs, trotters, roasted meat etc. and it is more or less same in most of the Muslim countries observing the “Festival Of Sacrifice”

In Pakistan, mostly people prefer to cook ‘Kaleiji’ immediately after sacrifice. It is said that “Our holy Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) liked to have cooked liver as breakfast on Eid ul Azha. The most common and easy recipe is to cut liver into small cubes, stir fry it with some oil, garlic, cumin, red chilli flakes, turmeric, salt and some tomatoes.

They enjoy flavorful biryani with curd and a separate curry as well. The recipe consists of slow- cooked rice, spices, vegetables and meat chunks.

Another classic Eid recipe is from Malaysia. They’re quiet enthusiastic about celebrating “Hari Raya Qurban” and prepare Beef Rendang. It is a spicy coconut curry made of beef which consists of coconut milk, some special herbs and spices.

The Egyptian “Fattah” is a simple yet tasty centerpiece dish on Eid. In this Egyptian rice is topped with crispy bread and chunks of meat.
