Foods To Level Up Your Beauty Game

These foods will supercharge your beauty regime.

Edition Pakistan · 17 January 2022

They say we are what we eat, and nothing could be truer. What we consume as nutrition, reflects our culture, heritage and most importantly our health. And nothing is as beautiful as a confident, healthy individual. So, today we picked out foods that you can add to your diet that will actually reduce your reliance on beauty products. But remember, consistency and moderation is key.

We also made sure we kept the list budget friendly because God knows we can’t afford quinoa in this economy!

Eggs

To say that these protein packed parcels are a super food would be an understatement. Eggs are loaded with various nutrients and is one of the rare foods that contains Vitamain D. Many of us suffer from Vitamin D deficiency, leading to fatigue, lethargy and even mood swings. And if you want a rich, luscious mane of hair, make sure to eat atleast one whole egg each day. Eggs also help maintain skin elasticity.

Almonds

Almonds are often incorporated into healthy eating plans for weight loss but they also serve a very important beautification purpose. Almonds cut out sugar cravings. Every time you feel you need a piece of candy, pop five almonds instead. Any time that you are not eating sugar, is a time that you are being kind to your beauty. Almonds are full of essential Vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin e, Vitamin B1 and B6 that help in making your hair long and strong. The high amount of magnesium they contain promotes hair growth.

Black Chickpeas

The humble kala chana does so much work for our health and beauty! It is cheap, delicious and even fights off the symptoms and effects of PCOS. As a rich source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber, chickpeas may offer a variety of health benefits, such as aiding weight management, improving digestion, and reducing your risk of disease. Chickpeas may help manage your blood sugar levels.

Kinnows

Pakistan has some of the best fruits in the world and our kinnows are hands out the sweetest, citrusy treats around. Packed with Vitamin C and rich in fiber, these babies can combat the signs of ageing. Vitamin C acts as anti-aging agent. Eating kinnows or drinking kinnow juice regularly can help combat wrinkles due to ageing. Moreover, the minerals present in kinnows not only enhance our overall metabolism but also help us get a flawless and glowing skin.
