Fans mourn at the loss of Grumpy Cat. The world famous internet celebrity feline the Grumpy Cat passed away on Tuesday, May 14, at the age of 7.
Her family with a very heavy heart, posted an emotional statement on Friday via Grumpy’s official Twitter account, which said, “Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome.”

Cats are known to be cute but the world fell for the grumpy one. Tardar Sauce the American internet celebrity cat widely known as The Grumpy Cat won many hearts and was the reason behind millions of smiles. She was an undersized feline with a form of dwarfism which was the cause behind that mean mug.
Her owner, Tabatha Bundesen described her to be very pleasant, playful and sweet.
Tardar became famous over night when she was a little over 5 months old. Her owner’s brother took a picture of her and posted it on Reddit in 2012, which went viral.
A picture that led to countless memes. Appearances on many shows, starred in a movie, featured in commercials, a book deal, her official merchandise, even bagged a lifetime achievement award before turning turning 2. Grumpy cat’s owner had to leave her job to manage her famous cat’s schedule while the owner’s brother managed Grumpy’s social media pages for her.
Even won a lawsuit in the US justice system for the exploitation of her image.
The cat earned her owner nearly $100 Million in just 2 years. To the owner, she was priceless.
