With genre’s ranging from action, to romance, to fantasy, to westerns, to comedy flicks, Netflix has it all, with 70 films lined up, a few featuring Academy Award winners and our favourite Hollywood box-office stars! A few films cued up are Army of the Dead, Awake, Kate, Outside the Wire, and Sweet Girl from the action genre, and from the romance genre there will be films released such as A Castle For Christmas, Kissing Booth 3, The Last Letter from Your Lover, The Princess Switch 3 and To All The Boys: Always and Forever, to name a few. With more dramas and family movies added to the mix, Netflix is gearing up for a year’s worth of entertainment!

On their official website, Netflix disclosed, ‘This year’s line-up will surprise and delight cinephiles across the globe with films from award-winning filmmakers, including Jane Campion (The Power of the Dog), Paolo Sorrentino (The Hand of God), and Adam McKay (Don’t Look Up). We’re re-introducing you to teen screams (Fear Street trilogy, There’s Someone Inside Your House), turning your favourite books into films (The Woman in the Window, Munich, The Last Letter from Your Lover), bringing you more adrenaline-pumping blockbusters (Red Notice, Sweet Girl, Kate) and giving your family a reason to say yes to watching films together.’

Furthermore, the streaming monolith also shared some of the famous cast members we can expect from these new movies, ‘Netflix will bring you a new movie every week featuring the biggest stars including Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Meryl Streep, Zendaya, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryan Reynolds, Jennifer Garner, Dave Bautista, Naomi Watts, Jake Gyllenhaal, John David Washington, and Octavia Spencer.’

The head of Netflix’s film division stated in an interview that “We
have found our way into the business with some incredible, world-class

With theatrical distribution at a standstill due to the global pandemic rendering the cinema business “out of work” until further notice, Netflix has become a saviour in its own right.
