It is that time of the year when we all start prepping up for the fashion week madness, the only catch being that fashion weeks in Pakistan barely last for 2-3 days.
But, but, but, this time around Fashion Pakistan Council is bringing 4 days of ultra fashion marathon, which is expected to be grander than any of the fashion weeks held in Pakistan previously. The event is set to take place in Karachi from 31st March till 3rd of April 2015.
This season, Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week Spring/Summer 2015 will feature leading couture designers as well as high street brands, as always, there is also a segment for the rising talent in the fashion industry.
“The Telenor Fashion Pakistan Week is bound to take Karachi by storm with the great Pakistani fashion industry bringing its best to the table.” – Wardha Saleem, CEO Fashion Pakistan
The line up includes:

Show 1: Sonya Batla, Rizwanullah for Fifth Element Swarovski, Daaman, Zara Shahjahan
Show 2: Deepak Perwani, Aamna Aqeel, Shamael Ansari
What we are looking forward to: Showcases by Sania Maskatiya, Zaheer Abbas, Fahad Hussayn, Body Focus Museum, Wardha Saleem, HSY, Zara Shahjahan, Deepak Perwani and Rizwanullah for Fifth Element Swarovski.
We are also looking forward to many a faux pas, because without that no fashion week is complete.
What we are NOT looking forward to: LAWN on the ramp, which includes Lala Textiles, Gul Ahmed and Alkaram Studio, however, we still have some sliver of hope for the latter as they have partnered with Sania Maskatiya for their showcase. Another brand that has failed on the ramp previously is Jafferjees and we’d rather not have to sit through that again.
We are giving the benefit of doubt to: Abdul Samad, Somal Halepoto and Madiha Raza as they are novices in the fashion industry as yet.
With 5 days left to the show, we’re all geared up to bask in the glitz & glamour, to doll up and to take endless notes & selfies.
