Celebrity personality, anchor, and a certified travel afficiando, Anoushey Ashraf has shared some positive updates on social media. Disclosing that although compliments from the male gender are quite common and appreciated, compliments from females are something else!
Anoushey’s adorable screenshot slider shows how women around the world have been sending her kind and heartfelt messages, which she has described as uplifting for her soul.
“Men compliment me and it certainly feels great. But when women
compliment me, it uplifts my spirit and soul. These messages have come
to me over the last two days from ladies around the world. They
specially wrote to me to appreciate me and give me love. They took the
time out to let someone know they’re talented and inspiring. Non
physical compliments also feel so good sometimes. I feel like I have a
bigger support system of sisters I haven’t even met but want each of
them to know how grateful I am for you. Women do not always pull each
other down. They do not always get jealous of each other. These are
mere misconceptions. People dislike one another, people are sometimes
jealous of one another, irrespective of their gender. These messages
are proof. To the men who love me and my work, I’m so very thankful
for you. To the women who do the same, I wish I could hug each of you.
This means a lot.”
The Ambassador for WWF raised a valid point, highlighting the importance of genuinely appreciating each other as human beings, sharing non-physical compliments and sincere gestures of kindness. If a little more kindness could be sprinkled into the world, it would be a better place.
The topic of insecurity, jealously and misconceptions was addressed by Ashraf, who emphasised that she was grateful to both men and women who appreciate her work, indicating that similar gestures of human altruism are a breath of fresh air and the dose of good energy we needed to see today!
